License, source, and how to contribute.

vosk-cli-dictation is open source, licensed under the MIT License — see LICENSE in the repository.

Contributions are welcome: read the contribution guide and open an issue on the issue tracker before sending a large change, so the direction can be agreed first.

The project is currently at v0.5.4-beta — under active development, not yet feature-complete or API-stable.

Roadmap

  • The four supported languages (French, English, German, Spanish) are kept at parity, both in the interface and the documentation.
  • The native packages (Debian, Fedora, openSUSE, Arch) and the source install are maintained in parallel.
  • Using the tool on Android via a remote decoding server has been evaluated — no application development is currently underway.
